SALOME not responding for over an hour. Is this to be expected?

Newbie here…Is it because of the initial conditions of my geometry?
I’m thinking the kill_salome batch file was created with this scenario in mind.

Hi,

you may have asked for too many elements (or too small mesh element size).

First create a mesh with Netgen 1D2D, without any Hypothesis. Right-click Compute. It should be generated in less than 10 seconds.

Right-click on the view Controls> Face controls> Length 2D to see the current size of the elements.

Then edit the mesh to add a Netgen 2D Parameters hypothesis to adjust the max size to your needs.

The mesh has smaller elements (but takes more time to compute).
