HI, I need some help , this is my first post, my first time in salome, my first time in everthin:

I installed

  1. salome meca: Version: salome_meca-lgpl-2024.1.0-1-20240327 Scibian11 Singularity container 2025, January 9th 5.3 Go LGPL a4df42c124f57fdb404e40c686d00fa4a1569365
  2. On my ubuntu versions 24.04.2 lts codename noble.
  3. In my thinkpad p15 gen3

4.I have the file in (my documents folder) as soon I run de programs i get this message:

  4. In the minute 15:43 it says I have to save the ouputfile name (cantiliver.rmed) but as soon i try to press the 3 dots all salome meca close itself

  5. I observed that in this moment when salomed crased and closed this messege adde to the other i mentioned befoere appears;

Does vanilla SALOME run for you? If it does, this might indicate an issue with your Singularity file or incorrect user mapping/settings. At this link, you can find more information about Singularity/Apptainer.

For further assistance, please post your issue on the salome-meca-installation forum.

Hi, thank for the answer, I do not know if continue the reel here, or I have to post everthin again were you told me I have to do it.

I follow your steps and I got this:

gas@gastp:~$ apptainer exec /home/gas/salome.sif salome

NOTE: I do not anderstand if i have to use singularity or apptainer .

You seem to have singularity/apptainer uid configuration issue. You will have more chance to ask on SALOME Meca forum and see if they can assist.

I am wondering why the SALOME meca does not provide a simple universal tar.gz, instead of a singularity image.

HI, I delete singularity and i tried with apptainer, but the same problem… however i gathered whole information about the pop up mistakes and the mistakes showed in the console
