CEA, EDF and OPEN CASCADE are pleased to announce SALOME version 9.16.0. It is a public release that contains the results of planned major and minor improvements and bug fixes against SALOME version 9.15.0 released in September 2025.

Once again we miss important OS pre-compiled binaries:
Ubuntu 26.04 LTS.
RHEL/CentOS and compatible 9/10.
And no, the universal binary is only for running Salome not linking its libraries with code_saturne for so many additional features it offers or to develop / maintain user made Salome modules.
I just installed 9.16 on Windows 11 and got this error when running Salome:
libpng warning: zlib stream error
And all the icons are missing.
Does anyone know how to solve it?
Thank you @jcsaaver for having warned us know about it. We reproduce the issue, we are going to fix it.
the reported issue regarding the Windows distribution has been resolved. I downloaded SALOME again and can confirm that the error no longer occurs.
In updated release of SALOME-9.16.0 for Widows “paraview.bat” failed to start.
Solution: copy of onnxruntime.dll from “W64\ONNX\lib” to “w64\ParaView\bin” folder.
Thanks for reporting about this issue which is obviously a bug in run_paraview.bat…
new archives containing the fix have been uploaded to the site.
