pySMESH: SALOME's SMESH as a plain pip package

Hi all,

I’ve been building pySMESH, Python bindings to SALOME’s SMESH mesher and Open CASCADE, packaged as pip-installable wheel.
It started small as I needed one thing, SMESH’s viscous layers, to grow prism boundary layers from a Python pipeline.
Once I was inside SMESH, I realised how much more capabilities it has, thus I added:

structured meshing: mapped quads, block-structured hexahedra, swept prisms, O-grids, with exact control of node spacing on every edge;
body-fitted Cartesian meshing;
NETGEN for free tetrahedra and triangles, with boundary layers on a tetrahedral core;
mesh editing and quality checks;
a CAD modelling session on top of OCCT.

The latest release, 5.1.0, exposes most of what SMESH can do.
It currently supports only Windows x64 and CPython 3.11–3.14. If you already use or are considering using scripts for your meshing or CAD work, I encourage you to check it out.
