is there in Paravis a tool to create an annotation of the min- and max-value (those values in the color bar), but with an arrow pointing to the corresponding node? I attach a picture with a “hand made” annotation to explain what I mean. I searched it in menu-Filters and in the tool bar of the render view, perhaps I have overlooked it,

Hi,
you can use the spreadsheet view or the find data dialog box to select the node where the max value is located. And use Selection Display Inspector to display the field on it.
It may be automated with a python macro.
