Hey, I am trying to import a Siemens NX part file to Salome. However, when I export it as a .IGES file, it only imports the surfaces whilst I need it as a solid body. When trying to do it as a .STL file, it just continues to “load” the geometry (it’s been over an hour and the .STL is 16MB big). Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

IGES is a surface only format.
STL is triangle only format.
Try to use STEP format, it should keep solids. It is the best CAD format to exchange from a commercial software to open-source softwares like SALOME.
