Hello everyone,
I am trying to generate a structured mesh for a solid Y-shaped pipe component in Salome, but I am having difficulties defining the proper geometry partitions and mesh blocks to achieve a fully structured mesh. The component is not hollow; it is a solid part with a Y-junction, which complicates the hexahedral meshing process.
Could anyone provide guidance on how to properly partition or decompose this type of geometry to allow a structured mesh? I can attach the geometry file if needed.
Thank you for the video. I have watched it and even tried to apply the same mapping approach, but it did not work in my case. The issue is that my component is a solid part, since I need to perform a CFD simulation of the internal flow. Because of that, the mapped faces are not rectangular and the structured meshing procedure fails.
If you have any suggestions on how to properly decompose a solid Y-shaped part for a fully structured mesh, I would appreciate it.
